So after getting delayed at Heathrow due to the heavy lightening storm, finally made it stateside. I set a new record for being cut off on BA flights, after 5hrs, and about 8 drinks I was told ‘no more’, that’s a little over halfway……boo yeh! I just feel sorry for the poor German couple next time as I was on a window seat and constantly woke them from their OAP slumbers to expel urine. However they seemed more than pleasant as I helped them with their immigration card with my limited German.
So Chicago is a really weird City. I have been once for the day before but needless to say I was hung over and didn’t really appreciate it as much. It’s a taller City than Boston and cleaner than New York with a friendly attitude to travels (which prob comes from being third choice after the aforementioned).
Hit the bar scene around the hostel hard and madly jet lagged, slept for 4hrs and got up at 5am, just waiting for breakfast to open at 7am.
