Wales in the Quarters: A whimsical Poem.

Oh to be a welsh fan on tour at the rugby world cup,
We all stayed behind when other fans gave up.

We got off to a fantastic start,
Only Wayne Barnes keeping us and the Saffers apart.
All we needed was that TMO or a Priestland drop goal,
It really felt like we had taken one from the Grassy Knoll,
But true to the Welsh we carried on with plenty of heart.

We made the Samoans mad,
with revenge so it made us glad.
Halfpenny turned on the show,
And Shane-o dealt the final blow,
Twitter rants followed making Nigel and the IRB sad.

Wales went a marching on,
Played a second team that proved to be strong.
We spent a Monday in Taranaki,
The Namibians wished they could flee,
With twelve tries to one, their hope didn't last long.

Next came our banana skin,
Everyone wanted to win.
Fiji stood between us and the quarters,
Hamilton mothers lock away your daughters,
With Welsh boys out and looking to win.

Fiji were determined to make us slip,
But we shot straight from the hip.
We ran in nine unanswered tries,
They had lost, you could see in their eyes.

The fans were so very loud,
We did Warren and Trudy proud.
The team looked strong with fitness to burn,
Maybe it's our turn?
A place in the quarters in Wellington now.

There is trouble in the English ranks,
Mike Tindall can't keep it in his pants.
Ashton and Hartley are making Johnson blush,
There is a lack of trust,
And now a quarter final with France.
A chance to get lanced.

Tuilangi wore the wrong gum shield,
Wilkinson kicked the wrong balls on the field.
Midget throwing should become their national sport,
A gold medal import.

They're not the only ones in trouble,
Dan Carter broke the Kiwi bubble,
The Aussies look tactically inept.
The French are on the run,
The Argies are having fun,
The saffers are in managerial disarray.
But hey its ok!
'With Sam our captain we'll bring the cup home!'

Now to our friends then foe,
The Irish can deal us a blow,
In the capital city of Wellington,
We'll give each other hell- again
And celebrate after with two games to go!

Warbs will lead the show,
Toby Falateaus Welsh don't you know?
Jamie Roberts will cross the gain line,
George North will be chasing try time.
Wales will give it everything they've got.

BOD will be leading his men,
They will keep coming time and again.
Warbs vs O'Brian will be a sight,
Unfortunately Sean its night night.

We'll have a drink whatever the score,
A Celtic relationship I do applaud.
And we'll sing songs late into the night,
And give the semis a fright,
With all the celts supporting in there hordes.
Will take New Zealand by storm.
'With Sam our captain we'll bring the cup home!'
